Executive Leadership

Dan Walsh
President
Dan has worked in the electrical industry since 1975. After completing the IBEW Local 369 apprenticeship, he became certified as a Kentucky Master Electrician. At various times during his career, Dan has held Louisville Chapter NECA board positions, including President and Governor. In addition to his role as President of United Electric, Dan currently serves as the national vice-president of NECA District II and is the primary representative for ELECTRI International.

Jim Olliges
Vice President
Jim has worked in the electrical industry since 1974. After completing the IBEW Local 369 apprenticeship, Jim continued his education to become a certified Kentucky Master Electrician and obtained his Kentucky contractors license. Jim currently serves on the Louisville NECA board and is the Chairman of the Apprenticeship Committee. In addition to his role as Vice President of United Electric, Jim serves as an alternate representative to ELECTRI International.

Larry Farrell
Vice President
Larry has been a member of the IBEW and has worked for United Electric since 1984. He is the VP of operations in Cincinnati.

Joe Heger
Vice President
Joe has worked in the electrical industry since 1989, specializing in industrial petroleum and chemical applications. After completing his BS in Criminal Justice at University of Dayton, Joe served four years as an officer in the United States Army. He then began his electrical career by being accepted to and completing the IBEW Local 369 apprenticeship. Joe has been a Project Manager for United since 2000.

Mark Hatcher
Vice President
Mark has worked in the electrical industry since 1998. His first role at United was Safety Director until 2012. Since 2012, he has managed United’s Utility Division overseeing subcontracted work to electrical utility providers for distribution, storm repair, streetlights, and meters.

Ray Knapp
General Manager of Cincinnati
Ray Knapp is the general manager of the Cincinnati office and has worked for United Electric since 2008.

Mike Moore
Division Manager
Mike’s progression at United began in 2001 and includes time as a licensed field electrician, procurement manager, estimator, project manager, and currently as division manager. These roles have developed a beginning to end understanding of the electrical construction process. His team is responsible for a broad range of industrial and commercial electrical installation and renovation services that provide 24hr coverage for service requests for new and existing customers.
Projects Mike has personally managed include multi-million dollar tooling and conveyor systems, electrical distribution projects, and system controls for Fortune 500 industrial customers in the automotive, distilling, and food processing industries. He continues to take an active role as personal contact for many of his customers, which appreciate his skills in negotiation, budgeting, engineering, business development, facility management and safety.

Scott Walsh
Project Manager
As a third generation electrician Scott has spent his entire career at United Electric continuing the Walsh legacy. His progression, apprentice to journeyman to foreman to project manager, has been varied across electrical contracting disciplines and illustrative of his aptitude. Awarded the Outstanding Apprentice award at graduation he immediately began applying his skills as a foreman in industrial automotive settings having completed various projects at Ford and Toyota facilities.
Having excelled as a foreman, Scott, moved into estimating and project management in 2015 and transitioned to managing both industrial and commercial projects where his extensive knowledge of conveyors, motor controls, lighting systems, and power distribution, enable customers to be unrestrained in their construction options.

Matt Sheffel
Superintendent
Matt has been a member of United Electric’s team since 1995. He grew up in northern Kentucky and is a KY certified master electrician. As an electrician he has overseen various multimillion dollar electrical projects in both commercial and heavy industrial environments.

Randy Knopf
Project Manager
Randy has worked for United Electric since 1986. Randy lives in eastern Indiana and is a project manager.

Office Manager
Cincinnati Office Manager since 2004. Born in Cincinnati. Responsible for account receivable.

Emily Ober
Administrator
Emily is the payroll administrator and has worked for United Electric since 2014. She is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford Ohio.
